The Mission of the Ten Sleep Museum is to collect, preserve, and interpret the cultural and natural history of Ten Sleep and the Valley in order to educate our visitors and residents of our community about the heritage and history of this area.
We are located at 436 Second Street, behind the former Flagstaff Cafe in Ten Sleep Wyoming on Highway 16.
We recently purchased the Flagstaff Cafe with a grant from the Wyoming Highway Department. We will be turning it into a Travel Museum.
Our most famous exhibit is that about the Spring Creek Raid which happened here in 1909. Three sheepmen were killed by a group of cattlemen.
We also have indian items from the area, a 19th century kitchen area, a schoolhouse from 1895 that has been restored, a mountain lion exhibit and the Bader family display. The Bader's were pioneers from the area and still have descendents who live here.
Please come and visit! We are open from May 20th to November 1st daily from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
